Las Vegas: Lappert's Ice Cream

Lappert's Ice Cream

If you ever go to downtown Las Vegas, you might be interested in checking out Lappert's Ice Cream in the California Hotel and Casino located on the second floor. They have pretty awesome hours, so no worries about not making it in time.

I originally thought this was the same Lappert's in Hawaii, but it clearly states on their website that they aren't. However, a lot of their ice cream has an aloha theme to it by either containing macadamia nuts or coconut in it. So folks loving that would surely enjoy their creations.

Two Scoop Waffle Cone
$3.25
Mac Nut - Australian macadamia nuts (1/2 scoop)
Kauaipie - Coffee ice cream, chocolate fudge, coconut, macadamia nuts (1/2 scoop)
Kana Road - Chocolate ice cream, chocolate covered nuts, marshmallow (1 scoop)

Overall, I thought it was okay. Nothing too special, I still think Strickland's wins hah. If it weren't for their unique creations at Lappert's, I would rather get Thrifty's Ice Cream at Rite Aid. Ohhhhh yea, yummm~

I did sample their coconut pineapple which is coconut ice cream and pineapple chunks and enjoyed that one a lot more. Also, next time I want to try their

vanilla yogurt - Tahitian vanilla and live culture yogurt

and

cookie crunch - chocolate ice cream and oreos (this is way better than cookies n cream if it taste anything like the Strickland's version)

I really got a kick out of the unusual flavors featured at Lappert's, like Green Tea, plus the fact that their "Rocky Road" is called "Hana Road" a famous road in Hawaii.

I covered my walk around Fremont Street in my post on Vegas Mavens.

Thanks for the comment Josh and for pointing out my typo for Hana Road hah. I didn't know it was a famous road in Hawaii. Makes it even cooler :D

I tried to post on your blog, but couldn't for some reason. I think you should add to post about Triple 7 Brewery (it's in Main Street Station). Such a nice and budget friendly brewery :D Details below.
