Payard Patisserie and Bistro

So after pigging out at Tableau and was as full as could be, I still had to fit in a nice chocolate treat for myself. So I decided to head over to Payard at Caesar's Palace. I've heard Payard's Bistro has a great value prix fixe, but that just had to wait until next time. This time I was going to be focusing on their patisserie. They sell chocolate, desserts, pastries, sandwiches, made to order crepes, and homemade ice cream. So much to choose from, but decided on picking from their pastry collection.

Just like this little princess, I was having a difficult time trying to pick out which dessert I wanted. They all looked so beautiful and tasty. But I finally decided on this black beauty...
Louvre $7
Rich Layers of Chocolate Mousse, Hazelnut Mousse, Hazelnut Dacquoise and Hazelnut Wafer Covered in Dark Chocolate

Ohh, how I love hazelnut! RAWR!

I had Lunch with at Payard Patisserie and Bistro with Brett Ottolenghi, the day I spent with Brett and his Tahitian Vanilla supplier. Brett ws featured in the August 2010 New Yorker, as "The Truffle Kid" Brett supplies the high-end restaurants on the Vegas Strip with their hard to find and very expensive ingredients.
So, when Brett said he thought "Payard Patisserie and Bistro" offered the best value on the Strip. as far as using really high quality ingredients, for a "Vegas" reasonable price, I thought that was high praise for the restaurant.
My post on my day with Brett can be found here:

Thanks for the comment Josh! I went back to try their prix fix lunch menu. Details at the below link.

I also agree with Brett, but would not recommend to folks to come here if they have a huge appetite :P
