San Felipe: El Tapatio - Birria de Res

El Tapatio
Chetumal/Mar de Cortes
San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico (map)

The boys in the group were on a hunt for birria de res. It's a juicy shredded beef braised in red chili. We first tried El Chango which is on Mar de Cortes, but they were closed. I was kind of sad because this place was so cute with all these monkeys all over the place. Hah, such a girl, but look at the photo. Awwww...

Anyways, we continued to walk down on Mar de Cortes and saw El Tapatio, another place specializing in birria de res. So we sat down and order some tacos. The owner told us we wouldn't be disappointed, and the boys weren't. Everyone ordered a second round!
