San Felipe: Karina

Karina
Ensenada and Mar Mediterraneo
San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico (map)

Karina was a surprising treat. We went here right after eating at Rosita because one member of the group didn't eat. Besides having great food, they are known for having a variety of refreshing beverages to choose from. Even though I stuffed my face at Rosita, I still manged to finish up the tacos my friend couldn't finish.

Jugo de Manzana Zonahoria Betabel Naranja 25 pesos

Yeah, that was a mouth full. A very thin smoothie that has a lot of fruit in it. Was super refreshing and delicious.

Jugo de Mango Guayaba Pina 25 pesos

Also, very yummy!

Diablito de Mango 25 pesos

This is one crazy drink! If you love Mexican chili candies, then you will love this. It's shaved ice filled with the chili. This one had mango in it. This one is sweeter than the diablito de pico de gallo.

Diablito de Pico de Gallo 25 pesos

Same as above, but spicier and with cucumbers, oranges, and mango

Carne de Res (Beef Soup) 50 pesos

Step one: Dump the rice in
Step two: Mix

This was super huge. My friend couldn't finish it. So you might want to share, if you order it. If it didn't have meat in it, I would eat this in a second. I love soup!

Taco de Papa (Potato Tacos)

These tacos were done right. I love how they topped it with avocado, some places don't.
