Mariscos El Huitussi
Mar de Tazmania Norte and Mar de Cortes
San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico (map)
Before leaving San Felipe, I wanted a seafood cocktail. This place is kind of isolated and off the main roads, but was recommended to me if I wanted mariscos (seafood). This is where the locals go, so their English is somewhat limited. However, if I was able to get by, I am sure you can too.
Salted Crackers
Medium Campechana (Mixed Cocktail) 80 pesos
Close-up
I'm not 100% sure about everything that was in there, but I think squid, octopus, shrimp, scallops, mussels, and maybe some kind of white fish were present. It was delicious though. This is my first time having one, now that I think about it. I don't like bloody marys, so I was worried it was going to have a crazy kick to it. But this one didn't, may be good or bad for some of ya. Also, no fishy taste and it had some sweetness to it. A nice treat on a hot summer day.
