San Felipe: Street Food on the Beaches

One of our beach stops were at the private beaches for the beach campgrounds north of San Felipe. Normally you aren't allowed in if you don't have a campground, but you can find a campground that doesn't mind letting you in.

I've never seen beach campgrounds like these before, kind of reminded me of tree houses.

Besides sunbathing, you can get tossed around on a float tube for less than 2 bucks.

Or, if you're like me, then you will want some treats. No problem! You don't need a "street" for the food to reach you. Talk about convenience!

Besides trucks and quads, people will be just walking around trying to sell you stuff. You would think he was selling Monster drinks, but no some kind of cashew snack.

These are the most popular trucks, serving fresh coconuts and pineapples.

Pina Colada
$7
Along with your pina colada, some places will give you some pineapple in a bag mixed with chili

FYI: A lot of these sellers take US money, so no worries if you're running low on pesos. Plus, they normally give you the rough exchange rate instead of a 1:1 rate.

Fresh Coconut
$5

At this truck, besides coconut, you can also get a treat called crazy peanut.

Crazy Peanut $1
Cucumbers and peanuts in a sweet Mexican chili syrup. Sometimes with crackers.
