Alright, back to So Cal eats! So I have been wanting to try this place since I heard great things about their burgers. Also, I am a fan of reuse and like how they took over an old gas station for their burger shop which reminded me of Taco Station in Riverside.

Since it is an old gas station, there isn’t any indoor seating. They do have some seating though. Either at the small bar sitting area along the building (fits approximately 5 people) and some tables and chairs off to the side.

Though seating may be limited, I still highly suggest eating there. Eat in your car or on the ground, whatever! I was a ding dong and placed a to-go order which may not have been bad if I was doing a 5 minute drive. But no, like a mad delivery girl took it over to my friend, Brian’s house in Mission Viejo. That was like a good 20 to 25 minute drive.

Peter’s Greek Fries $5.50
Shoestring fries topped with feta cheese, gyro meat, onions, tomatoes, and oregano. Severed with homemade tzatziki sauce on the side.

This is the item that needs to be eaten right away. The fries and gyros were pretty much cold by the time I started to dig in, so sad to have ruin these fries due to my bad judgment. Would be better with some hot sauce too. Mmm…can’t wait to reorder these again. Also their lamb chops and fries or their sweet potato gooey’s sound amazing too!

ABC Burger $5.75
All-beef Angus patty served on a toasted potato bun with mustard, mayo, ketchup, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, melted cheese, thick-cut bacon slices and fresh avocado

I got this for Brian and seriously, I was trying to eat his burger. It sounds like another other avocado and bacon burger, but Peter does his magic and this burger becomes so flavorful, creamy and juicy. Loved it and would order it again in a heartbeat. Potato bun goes great with this burger. This is way better than The Rammer in my opinion.

The Rammer $8.75
Grilled pastrami served on top of a 6 oz. angus beef burger with mustard, pickles, grilled onions, and swiss cheese on a pretzel bun

I pretty much got it because I heart pretzel buns. However, overall I thought it was just okay. Once again, I’m pretty sure it was because 30 minutes passed by, so the meat wasn’t as warm and the bun went dry. But still, after having the ABC burger with so much flavor and creaminess to it and then biting into The Rammer, it just wasn’t on the same level. The Rammer I feel needs something else. Maybe just more mustard or maybe some other sauce to give it some more of a kick. Or maybe I should just need to shut up and get it while it’s hot :D

Anyways, even though I had Peter’s Groumade Grill cold, I can tell the difference. It’s good stuff and I highly recommend doing a pit stop here. Also, learn from my mistake and eat it there :P
