After writing about Mariposa Ice Cream, I was reminded that I still haven’t posted about Blind Lady Ale House, doh! How could I!?! Oh, I know why. I only had a beer and a salad here and didn’t want to post something up until I tried their pizza. Oh well, I will continue anyways. Even though I only had a beer and salad at this place, I loved this place. Really, really loved it. It’s not all in my head either, Draft Magazine thinks so too. They listed Blind Lady Ale House in their article titled America’s 100 Best Beer Bars.

The dark wood, vintage bottles, beer memorabilia, and the lighting creates a perfect chill atmosphere inside. Blind Lady Ale House doesn’t just stop there like most places, they go beyond to make sure they deliver the best craft beer and food. They do this by using organic and locally grown ingredients, even sustainable meats and seafood. Topping it off by being vegetarian and vegan friendly. Ya not your typical bar food, huh? Thank goodness!

Persimmon, Apple and Walnut Salad ~$10

This was their special of the night and I don’t remember the full details, just that it was one of my favorite salads I had (because of the persimmon). The persimmon went so well with all the other ingredients like the apple and walnuts. Really fresh and delicious!

I would also suggest trying their pizza. Sadly, I was short on time and couldn’t wait for a pie. So hopefully next time I am Normal Heights :D
