I went to Los Reyes de la Torta on a Sunday night and the parking lot was packed. Always a good sign :) The restuarant is divided into three separate areas all which are painted with bright vibrant colors.

Once you enter the place for the most part all the customers were Mexicans which is another good sign. However, I thought the exposure Los Reyes de la Torta got from Adam on Man vs. Food on their gigantic tortas that a lot more other ethnicities would have been in the mix.

To my surprise, this place isn’t just a tortas (Mexican sandwich) place, but serves an array of Mexican food. However, my belly was on a tight schedule so we stuck with the plan of ordering the same sandwich as Adam, the Del Rey Torta.

House Salsa

Really good and flavorful

Del Rey Torta $8.49
Ham, melted cheese, pork sirloin, breaded beef, sausage, chorizo, eggs, beans, onions, tomatoes, avocado, and chipotle sauce all within a telera (Mexican flat bread).

Yes, look at that monster and it is only half of it! The meal even comes with potato chips hah. Since Clarisse and I ate so much that day, we decided to split the sandwich. The staff had no issue with that and without even requesting it, they split the meal into two plates for us, sweet!

Wow, I’ve been craving a good torta since San Felipe. Los Reyes de la Torta was amazing! The meats were amazingly delicious with easily the pork sirloin and breaded beef being my favorite out all the meats. The telera was also fresh and delicious. Though the sandwich isn’t dry at all, I still drenched my sandwich with their salsa. So good! Those who don’t like a messy meal might be tempted not to go, but make an exception this time because it’s worth it. I highly sugguest everyone to venture out to this place. Once you do, I’m sure you will be dying to go back again and again like me.
