Ah memories, this is my Dad’s preferred chicken joint while I growing up. So I ate lots of it back then and recently rediscovered it. Juan Pollo cooks their chicken the Mexican way, rotisado or rotisserie style. Even though it is a franchise, it’s only within Southern California as of now. The original location we went to on Adams is now closed due to Cal Baptist expanding. Thankfully, the owner was able to relocate on Magnolia Avenue.

Served with medium or hot salsa and flour or corn tortillas
I like that I can get a half chicken with corn tortillas and as much salsa as I want, all for under five bucks. Their special seasoning is way better than El Pollo Loco and pretty juicy for the most part. Sometimes their breast can be a bit dry, but it always taste good when drenched in their delicious homemade salsa, especially their hot salsa. Their rice, beans, and potato salad are also pretty good, but I tend to just keep it simple. Overall, my go to joint for rotisserie chicken in Riverside.
