W-O-W…this place really is an oasis! Not only for vegetarians and vegans, but for ANYONE! Especially if you like a good sandwich. They make amazing sandwiches here. One of the best vegan/vegetarian sandwiches in Riverside! Yup, that good folks 
Oasis Vegetarian Cafe is a little hidden stand adjacent to La Sierra Natural Food operated by La Sierra University. Oasis has a few colored benches so you can enjoy the weather outside or you can dine-in. After placing your order at the front, go through the La Sierra Natural Food store and venture towards the left to enter into their indoor dining area. I thought they did a lovely job giving this space a homey feel with customer photos hanging around on the walls. An added bonus, Oasis offers free wifi!
Young Coconut $2.99
This was on their specials board, but love whenever I can order some fresh young coconuts.
Pupusas $3.99/each
Corn masa filled with beans and cheese and cooked over the grill.
Served with sauerkraut and Oasis special tomato sauce.
They also offer this vegan style for $4.69 which is pretty cool. Not bad for a vegetarian pupusas, but the best ones still are at Don Lechos in Los Angeles. Oh man, so good and legit!
Avocado Sandwich $6.49
Hummus, avocado, lettuce, and tomato
So good, this picture doesn’t do this sandwich any justice. What really makes this sandwich is the bread. It’s soft, thick, and hearty, but not too overly bready. Kind of like the rolls they use for tortas, but better because it’s gluten-free! I also love just how much avocado they put in their sandwiches. A lot of places go skimpy in this area, but not Oasis and thank goodness! Add to the fact that I heart hummus and you just served me a killer sandwich. Thanks Oasis!
If you love eggplant, check out their Veggie Delight Sandwich, or for mushrooms then their Portabella Sandwich. Have been too stubborn to check those out yet, but will very soon! They also serve fresh soup, smoothies, juices, and vegan friendly desserts. They just have so much to offer. So stop by and check this place out!
