A place called Sam’s that does pizza, subs, burgers, and Indian food? My immediate response is PASS. However, Victor suggested otherwise and noted that they do Indian inspired pizza. Interesting!
When you walk into Sam’s, it definitely looks like an Indian resturant. I had no more doubts about it being able to dish out some delicious Indian food. Also, I was even kind of shocked how nice it was. Either way, ordered up a bit of Indian food and their Indian inspired pizzas.
Garlic Naan $2.29
Always have to order some naan, so good!
Chicken Tikka Pizza with Coconut Korma Sauce $5.29/mini
So, the quality of their pizza isn’t that great in my opinion. I loved the idea of chicken tikka as a topping; however, the chicken was a bit dry. Also, the coconut korma sauce was more on the sweet side and didn’t have as much of the Indian spices that I would of loved to have tasted.
Paneer Pizza with Basic Curry Sauce $5.29/mini
Since I was a bit disappointed with the chicken tikka, I wasn’t expecting much from the paneer pizza. Thankfully, I was proven wrong. Their basic curry sauce had way more spices and flavor to it. I’m normally not a huge paneer fan, but I loved how cheesy this pizza was. I sure if we added some cilantro and even some ginger this pizza would of tasted even better. Or am I talking like a pregnant lady?
Lamb Coconut Korma $11.49
Sauce made of shredded coconut, coconut milk, tomatoes, and curry spices.
Of course the real winner of the night was the lamb coconut korma. So good and just rich with spices and flavors. The lamb was also not overly cooked. Even thought I asked for super spicy, it was only moderately spicy. Nevertheless, still delicious. Definately do yourself a favor and order off their Indian menu.
Peshwari Naan $4.49
Naan stuffed with coconut, cashews, and raisins brushed with honey.
I’ve never had a peshwari, but read a review to try it here. Wow, I feel like my life has been deprived! Why haven’t I known about this naan sooner? So delicious and a nice way to end the meal. The naan isn’t overly stuffed, but I wish it was. The combination of the coconut, cashews, and raisins finely chopped and topped with honey is just too tasty. I am officially spoiled and for now on want to end all my Indian meals with peshwari naan. That would be amazing!

Yes, we discovered Sam's accidentally have have been stpping there after our hikes ever since. Great nan!
Nanette, glad you discovered it. I will for sure be stopping by after my hikes too
There naan is delicious, especially the peshwari.
