Sadly, it’s pretty common of myself to forget to post about a place. Over the next few months, I am going to pull out some oldies, but goodies. First up, Dog Haus! Last year, I bought their Groupon deal for National Burger Day. Burgers? Yup! Dog Haus isn’t just about the hot dogs, they also serve up a pretty tasty burger. But pretty much anything placed in between a King’s Hawaiian roll taste amazing, right? Oh yeah
I love how Dog Haus placed a planter along with a few seats outside.
French Fries $1.95
They also serve tarter tots and sweet potato fries, but just got plain old french fries. They were freshly cut with a nice crisp to them.
Big Ern McCracken Burger $8.50
2 1/3lb angus beef patties, 1 all-beef hot dog, melted cheddar cheese, and mayo
Go big or go home, right? Looks pretty small in this picture, but it’s filling. I just love burgers with hot dogs in them and just can’t get enough. It’s just meat and some more meat, topped with some cheese. Not for the faint-hearted, but Dog Haus breaks up the meat fest with the sweet tasting King’s Hawaiian bread.
The Hangover Burger $7.25
Haus chili, white american cheese, smoked bacon, fried egg, and mayo
My friend, Nathan got this burger. I didn’t try it, but he enjoyed it. I love when a burger joint offers a fried egg in your burger and Dog Haus gives you some choices too. I must mention that I love how the burger bun is really 4 rolls. Makes it easy to split up your burger without a knife and fork. Also, really enjoyed that they toasted only the inside of the King’s Hawaiian bread too. So good!
Grand Slam Haus Dog $5.95
1/4-lb, all-beef, skinless hot dog on King’s Hawaiian bread topped with smoked bacon, tater tots and a fried egg
My friend, Nathan ordered this dog and really enjoyed it. Trust me, the tater tots are there! Pretty awesome idea to use tater tots instead of french fries, that way it seems more hash browns and a breakfast. So you breakfast lovers will enjoy this dog.
Sooo Cali Haus Dog $5.95
1/4-lb, all-beef, skinless hot dog on King’s Hawaiian bread topped with mixed greens, diced tomato, tempura fried onions, spicy basil aioli and avocado
I knew this hot dog was going to be delicious from the description and the name is right on, Sooo Cali indeed! Also, I’ve had the pleasure of having Dogzilla‘s hot dogs before trying Dog Haus and the sweet, soft, chewy King’s Hawaiian bread just makes an old plain hot dog amazing. Then top off the plain hot dog with some creative toppings and you got yourself an AMAZING hot dog which Dog Haus does.
Sooo Cali hot dog is a nice treat because it isn’t heavy and you get some serving of greens for the day, so no need to feel guilty about having a hot dog. Everything was fresh and all the ingredients complimented each other well to make one darn tasty hot dog.
I highly recommend checking out Dog Haus for a hot dog and/or burger treat.
