It’s that time again, San Diego Restaurant Week (SDRW)! This culinary tradition that is held twice annually features over 180 San Diego restaurants that offer discounted lunch and dinner prix-fixe menus. From Sunday, September 16th through Friday, September 21st foodies can eat their way through over 180 participating restaurants that will offer three-course prix-fixe dinner menus for just $20, $30 or $40 per person and/or two-course prix-fixe lunch menus for only $10, $15 or $20 per person. Tickets and passes aren’t necessary, just show up at any participating location or be smart by calling ahead to make a reservation. For the first time ever, San Diego Restaurant Week will be having it’s very own kick off event. #SDRWTaste2012 will be an exclusive first look at what to expect for the coming SDRW. On Friday, September 14, 2012 from 5:00-9:00 PM at the Broadway Pier in the Port Pavilion, over forty of SDRW’s best restaurants will be serving up samples of house specialties that will delight your taste buds. Each sample will be paired with a unique beverage to enhance the flavors of each dish you sample.
This event will also feature live music by Dave Patrone and plush lounge furniture to create a truly enjoyable evening experience. Tickets to the event will be sold at $75 each and ten percent of each ticket will go to the Food Bank of San Diego’s Backpack Program to feed a child for a weekend.
