Starlite is another place that has been on my to-eat list for a while. Thankfully I got an email from Yuri and Mike stating that their wedding rehearsal dinner was going to be at Starlite. Oh yes, I love having friends who are on the same food wavelength
Besides having an awesome vault-like octagonal entrance and a classy galactic sleek interior, Starlite’s food and drinks are what makes this place shine. For the rehearsal dinner, we were seated in their outdoor bar and patio area which has a more laid back atmosphere.

Starlite Mule $9
Rain Organic Vodka, ginger beer, lime, Angostura bitters
My first mule! Apparently a pretty popular mixed drink, so glad I was able to try it finally. I gulped it down like there was no tomorrow and ordered many more throughout the night since it instantly became one of my new favorite mixed drinks. I just love how the flavors of the ginger beer and lime compliment the vodka so well. More importantly, that they serve the drink in an awesome copper mug. Highly recommend it to veterans and newbies.
Mixed Fy $12
Calamari, Meyer lemon slices, onion rings, local vegetables, and green goddess dressing
Oh man, this was just delightful. I have a love and hate relationship with fried foods and this is one of the first ones I had where I felt like this fried item was actually good for my health. Ya seriously, way to go Starlite! My favorite fried item, hands down was the lemon slices. So refreshing and along with their amazing green goddess dipping sauce, you really feel like you’re eating a meal fit for a god(dess).
Sausage Board $13
Kathleen’s house made sausage and artisanal salami, house-made pickles, and mustard
I had a bit of house made sausage, but honestly I can’t remember much about it. I was enjoying the Mixed Fry too much to focus on this appetizer.
The Burger $13
8 oz. Brandt beef patty, gruyere cheese, caramelized onions served on a brioche bun with dijonaise, hous-made pickles and fries
Bacon +2.50
Bacon +2.50
I was having a hard time deciding on the burger or the steak, but finally decided on the burger. Comparing it to restaurant burgers, Starlite’s burger is more on the simple side, but solid. Don’t forget to add the dijonaise since it makes it way more flavorful. Fries were great too. Can’t wait to check out the steak next time.
Ice Cream Sandwich $7
I heart ice cream sandwiches and Starlite’s home made ice cream sandwich did not disappoint. Starlite’s ice cream sandwich consists of vanilla ice cream, two toffee cookies, and pistachios. I loved that their cookies were soft, but firm enough to not break while eating it. Moreover, since I am not a crazy fan of toffee was happy that their cookies were not overpowering with toffee flavor. The pistachios were a nice touch and a perfect compliment to the ice cream sandwich. My favorite ice cream sandwich I have had in a restaurant/bar!
Congratulations to Yuri and Mike on their marriage and many thanks to them for letting me be a part of their beautiful wedding.
