Oh Ollantaytambo, not only are you just simply beautiful but also have a gelato shop! Well, at least it looked like gelato. It was beautifully displayed like gelato and not served frozen like ice cream. It seemed a bit creamy for gelato, but I’m no expert.
I was surprised by the assortment of flavors Tutti Amore had. They had the typical gelato flavors like stracciatella aka chocolate chip, but also local fruits like maracuya aka passion fruit. Many of which I had no idea what they were, so I just sampled away
2 Sabores (Canastita) 9 soles
2 scoops of ice cream in a waffle cup.
I finally decided on lucuma aka Peruvian eggfruit since the flavor was of maple and sweet potato. Then for the second scoop, I went for frutos del bosque translated as fruit of the forest for a mix flavor of wild berries.
A must stop to try some of Peru’s unique fruits, as well as a sweet treat.
