The Baked Bear offers a modern take on an old-fashioned ice cream sandwich with made-to-order combinations of baked in-house gourmet cookies and California-crafted ice cream flavors from Blue Bunny. Even waffle and brownie ice cream sandwiches!

I love how spacious The Baked Bear is with a nice wood wall along one side. Plenty of seats to sit, relax, and enjoy your Baked Bear treat.

I had to start off traditional. It’s hard not to compare against Diddy Riese, but in my opinion, The Baked Bear is better. I love that The Baked Bear cookies are soft, but had enough firmness to not fall apart while eating the ice cream sandwich. Unlike Diddy Riese’s cookies, which are too hard for my liking. But to each their own.

Moreover, their gluten-free chocolate chip cookie was DELICIOUS! I would of never guessed it was gluten-free, it was that good. So many thanks to The Baked Bear for carrying a yummy gluten-free cookie option. I highly recommend this classic combination.

Brownie and Waffle Rocky Road Ice Cream Sandwich $3.95

I went a little crazy and mixed it up hah. I wasn’t a fan of their waffles. It’s on the bready side and I was expecting more of a Belgium type waffle that is airy. Their brownie on the other hand was better, more on the fudgy side and dense. But, I way prefer and recommend getting their cookies. Or at least mixing up the brownie/waffle with a cookie.

Red Velvet and White Chocolate Chip Macadamia Nut CookieStrawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream Sandwich  $2.95

The Baked Bear Red Velvet Cookie Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream Sandwich

Mmmm cookies and ice cream, just a classic mix. I didn’t think I would like the strawberry cheesecake ice cream, but it was surprisingly good and not overpowering. The red velvet and white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies were good as well, but still my personal favorite cookie was the gluten-free chocolate chip cookie.

Their cookie selection include chocolate chip, gluten-free chocolate chip, red velvet, oatmeal raisin, snicker doodle, M&M, funfetti cake, and white chocolate chip macadamia nut. Blue Bunny Ice Cream flavors include vanilla, cookies and cream, chocolate, mint chocolate chip, cookie dough, rocky road, strawberry cheesecake, chocolate chip, mocha almond fudge, butter pecan, strawberry, and mango sorbet. So have fun being creative with your ice cream sandwich.

Last but not least, The Baked Bear is open late ranging from 10pm to 2am. Sweeeet! I know I will for sure be doing a late night run because who doesn’t crave an ice cream sandwich at midnight.

Their grand opening is tomorrow, May 4th from 11am to 4pm; the store will remain open for normal business hours, until 2am. Not like you need another reason to head over, but customers who purchase during the grand opening celebration will receive a free cookie card for their next visit.

There are at least four different, premium ice creams here. Notably Humboldt.

Jennyy!! Looks like your foodie adventures have not stopped!

Its been a while, but I still check out your blog because of the food porn! Your site comes in handy especially since I am in Korea and you have made tons of posts on places in Seoul.

Browsing your site really makes me miss lots of the authentic goodies that Korea doesn’t have (like those burritos or ice cream sandwiches!).

Please keep posting! You still have fans all over the world :).
