I can’t wait to check out this festival, as I know it will be an experience I won’t forget.  Multiple ticket options are available online, so don’t miss out and come join me!

Bhakti Fest…wow!

I love you :)

I wasn’t sure how to compare Bhakti Fest to Lightning in a Bottle, but the best way I can describe the difference is Bhakti Fest is that intimate family gathering that you love, while Lightning in a Bottle is that HUGE family gathering where anyone with 1% of your family blood is there.

Both are amazing, but just have different environments and vibes.

I loved all the yoga sessions, the amazing music, and transformation workshops, mediations, and MORE.

I highly recommend checking out this festival, I enjoyed it more than Lightning in a Bottle because it was smaller and more intimate. It’s the perfect-sized festival in my book. Not too big, not too small.

Also, got to love that it is in Joshua Tree and just being in the beautiful desert, not to mention that Joshua Tree National Park is just a stone throw away and are able to get some amazing rock climbing in.

Just like Lighting in a Bottle, my belly was treated so well with amazing super nutrient-dense, filling, and more importantly, umami food at Bhakti Fest. While there wasn’t as many vendors at Bhakti Fest as Lighting in a Bottle, it was enough. Okay, maybe just a few more food stalls ;)

Best Meal:  I have to do a tie — Dosa Dosa and Lydia’s Organics.

I love dosas, and Dosa Dosa did not disappoint. Lucky for SF, they will be opening a few locations soon. I love that they cook it with ghee or coconut oil, depending on your dietary requirements. Also, they were serving up some delicious kitcheree. It’s a traditional Indian dish that consists of split mung beans, rice, and veggies. I’ve never had it before, and my body just resonated with it. I can’t wait to try my own bath of it at home.

Next is lovely Lydia’s. I was first introduced to them while I was at Lighting in a Bottle. They have such a HUGE and AWESOME menu. I haven’t gotten anything there that wasn’t delicious. Some of my personal favorites is the Breakfast Burrito, Nori with Salad, Purple Goddess Salad, Cooked Curry Bowl, and Alkalizing Green Soup.

Best Snack: Living Intensions

Man seriously, their GONE NUTS nut blends are insane! They are raw, soaked and sprouted too. I tried ALL their flavors every day. I LOVED them that much. So much so, I bought five packets of them since they had a Buy 5 and get the Sixth one free hah. My absolute favorite one is the Thai Lemon Curry. Best nuts ever!

Best Drink:  Teeccino

Caffeine-free organic herbal coffee? Say, WHAT! I’m not a coffee addict, but I do love the taste of it, but don’t love caffeine. So I was stoked to try this place out and was blown away by the awesome taste of it. Loved that they were one of the first stalls open bright and early too, to give all the attendees our Teeccino fix.

My absolute favorite was the Dandelion Dark Roast. They sell them in tea bags and as an all-purpose grind. I highly recommend buying the all-purpose grind, as it provides that coffee consistency and stronger taste.

Best Dessert: Coconut Bliss

One of my favorite non-dairy ice cream companies! But before Bhakti Fest I only had their Naked Coconut flavor aka just plain coconut milk. At Bhakti Fest, they had so many flavors to choose from. I was blown away and so happy to see one of those flavors being Ginger Cookie Caramel! Oh my, heaven. A real treat!  :)
