Lightning in a Bottle

While I love my food festivals, I’ve been looking for something a bit more eclectic. Then, steps in Lightning in a Bottle.

Lightning in a Bottle (aka LIB) is California’s premier campout festival that fuses electronic music and introspective qualities of installation art, live performance, spiritual workshops, and an overarching embodiment of cultural and environmental consciousness, while nourishing the physical body with some of the best food (ohhh yeah).

The adventure continues for the 9th annual Lightning in a Bottle on May 22nd to 26th with Little Dragon, Moby, Phantogram, and Gramatik headlining the festival at a new location, San Antonio Recreation Area in Bradley, CA (Google Maps which sits perfectly between Los Angles and San Francisco in beautiful Monterey County.

Much of Lightning in a Bottle’s intimate singularity is expressed through The Lucent Temple of Consciousness, an amazing sanctuary for all participants to enrich the soul and inspire the spirit. The 2014 schedule inside The Lucent Temple will include over 300 different experiences in yoga, workshops, speakers and exotic world music.

Okay, going back to the food. LIB features some of the best local food vendors with a wide variety of vegetarian, organic, and non-GMO options. It’s a foodies paradise! Check out the list of awesome vendors:

RECAP

Wow, what an amazing experience for my belly and more importantly, my mind and soul. You can truly step into a new world of consciousness, surrounded by energies that are filled with pure acceptance and love. Don’t want to get too woo woo on you, but I highly recommend check out this festival if you are looking for something different and deeper than your typical festivals.

Now, on to some of the BEST foods I have EVER had at a festival! Food was super nutrient-dense, filling, and more importantly, umami. While it is hard to say which was the best plate of food I had, since they were all really that great and there was no way I could try everything. I can still easily say, hands down L.O.V.E – Live Organic Visionary Evolution‘s Third-Eye Pad Thai dish. Yes, the name is totally fitting because it awaken my taste buds to pure nirvana. OMG – thank you Cheri Rae for sharing with LIB your amazing talents to make such mind-altering raw, organic, and super nutrient-rich foods AND serving it with your contagiously loving energy.
